The materialistic women who expect this type of diamond engagement ring sicken me, especially since there are people in developing countries who don't know where their next meal is coming from. When I knew my husband was preparing to propose to me I warned him not to buy anything extravagant. For those women who feel as I do, it's easy to find a moderately priced diamond engagement ring. You can get one from Kohls for as little as three hundred dollars if you buy it during a sale.
