Tiffany's



Well,  there is a name to be dropped.  Tiffany's have built a brand name, and created a strong desire to get one of those little blue boxes.  Of course, because of all their work, their ability to charge large sums for their diamonds.  They feel they are the best, and why settle for less. 

Diamonds are negotiable, just like anything else.  I understand that Tiffany now grades their diamonds in house, avoiding the use of independent lab or appraiser. I guess if you want a separate appraisal  you have to find one.  Seems like an added expense, to an already expensive investment.

There is money to be made in diamonds, and Tiffany's is taking advantage, and I might add they are not alone.  If you are shopping for an engagement ring, or any diamond,  take the time to do some research.
