Diamond Cuts



Cut determines the Light Performance of a diamond.  Cut may be explained as "ideal" or "superior", using proportions and angles, these help predict the light performance of a diamond.  Reflection and refraction determine a diamond's beauty.

White light = brilliance
Color light = fire
Changing colors = scintillation (when stone is moved)

Most jewelers provide a form of viewer so the customer can see the stone and experience the light show. All you need do is ask.  Enjoy the show.
